Property Ownership:

Previous Housing Subsidies: First-Timer vs. Second-Timer

If you’ve previously dipped your toes in the housing subsidy pool, you’re considered a second-timer. Translation: No new subsidies for you, my friend. However, you can still apply for the Proximity Housing Grant if you qualify. Because who doesn’t want to live close to their mom (and her home-cooked meals)?

Undischarged Bankrupts:

If you’re an undischarged bankrupt, you’ll need consent from the Official Assignee or private trustee to buy flats larger than a 5-room flat or ones worth $500,000 and above. No, your goldfish doesn’t count as collateral.

CPF Housing Grants:

As a single, here are the grants you can snag:

  • Enhanced CPF Housing Grant (Singles)
  • CPF Housing Grant (Singles)
  • Proximity Housing Grant (Singles)
